Acceptable Use Policy
On this page
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of MustServer's Cloud VPS, Web Hosting, and Mail Gateway services (the "Services"). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in content removal, suspension, or termination as described in Section 7.
1. Scope
This policy applies to you and anyone you allow to access or use the Services under your account, including end users of applications you host with us.
2. Prohibited content
You may not use the Services to store, host, publish, or transmit:
- Content that is illegal in the jurisdictions where it is hosted or accessed;
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — reported immediately to the relevant authorities;
- Malware, ransomware, exploit kits, or phishing pages;
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
- Content promoting terrorism or imminent violence; or
- Unlicensed gambling, or content otherwise prohibited under applicable law.
3. Prohibited activities
You may not use the Services to:
- Launch or participate in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks;
- Scan, probe, or attempt to breach the security of any system without authorization;
- Distribute malware or operate botnet command-and-control infrastructure;
- Send unsolicited bulk email ("spam") or engage in email/SMS phishing;
- Engage in cryptocurrency mining that materially degrades shared infrastructure for other customers, on plans where mining isn't an explicitly included feature;
- Circumvent metering, quotas, or licensing restrictions of the Services; or
- Resell the Services in violation of your plan's terms.
4. Resource usage
Shared hosting plans are subject to fair-use CPU, memory, and I/O limits (enforced via CloudLinux or equivalent isolation) so that no single account degrades service for others. Cloud VPS resources are dedicated as described in your plan; sustained abuse of network egress or shared upstream capacity that impacts the wider network may still be subject to rate limiting.
5. Email and Mail Gateway use
Mail Gateway customers must maintain valid SPF/DKIM/DMARC alignment for domains they relay, obtain proper consent for marketing email under applicable law (e.g. KVKK, GDPR, CAN-SPAM), honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and keep bounce/complaint rates within industry-standard thresholds. Purchased or harvested recipient lists are prohibited.
6. Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse originating from MustServer infrastructure, email abuse@mustserver.com with the offending IP/domain, timestamps, and supporting evidence (headers, logs). We investigate all reports and respond within our published support SLA.
7. Enforcement
We may, at our discretion and without liability to you, remove or disable access to content, rate-limit traffic, or suspend or terminate the Services immediately for a violation of this AUP, especially where required to protect the security or integrity of our network or comply with law. Where practical and not itself a security risk, we will attempt to notify you before or promptly after taking action.
